Buff Chowmein is a Chinese style stir-fried noodle that is very popular in every restaurant and in street stalls in Nepal or all over the world. It is usually made with lots of shredded buff meat, cabbage, carrots, onions, mushrooms, etc. that vary from place to place. 

Ingredients for Buff Chowmein

  • 250 g dried or egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • Finely shredded cabbage and carrots
  • Chopped onions and spring onions
  • Buffalo meat 50 g or buff sukuti
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum 
  • 3 green chili
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Chili powder as per your preference
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of Ajinomoto (tasting powder)
  • Chopped coriander

How to make buff chowmein

1: First of all, take a wide frying pan and heat up 5 tea spoon oil

2: Add finely shredded buff meat, then fry it for 4-5 minutes

3: Add some onions and green chili’s, then mix it thoroughly

4: Then add cabbage, carrots and capsicum altogether

5: Add noodles and stir it properly

6: Add some salt and chili powder along with a pinch of Ajinomoto

7: Add 2-3 tbsp of soy sauce, then mix everything

8: At last garnish with chopped coriander on top

9: Also add some tomato sauce and lime juice for more flavors (optional)

10: And its ready to serve 🙂
