Chicken gizzard is a very popular non-vegetarian appetizer prepared using boiled chicken gizzard with onion, tomatoes and lots of spices on it. It tastes really good even as a side dish to your meal. It is spicy, hot and just perfect for any meal and can be served with beaten rice or with alcohol.
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken gizzard
- 3 finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 Finely chopped onions and spring onions
- 3 green chilies
- Chopped ginger and garlic
- 5 tablespoon oil
- 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
- Chili powder as per your preference
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
- Garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander
How to make pangra fry/chicken gizzard
1: First of all, heat up one jug of water then add some salt and boil chicken gizzard for 10-15 minutes
2: Let it sit for 10 minutes and then slowly cut into fine pieces
3: Now heat up five tablespoons of oil in a pan then add the boiled gizzard and stir it properly for five minutes until it gets golden brown
4: Add turmeric powder, salt, chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, chopped garlic and ginger (you can also use ginger-garlic paste) and then mix it properly
5: Add chopped onions and green chilies, then mix it properly for 2 minutes
6: Add chopped tomatoes, close the lid and then let it cook for 3-4 minutes in medium flame
7: Now add chopped spring onions then mix it properly for a minute
8: At last garnish with chopped coriander on top
9: And it’s ready to serve 🙂
